David Lynn Scott passed away peacefully in Lexington, Tennessee

on September 21, 2026. He was born May 21, 1962, in Huntingdon,

Tennessee, to Lyndol Scott and the late Brenda Jeffries Umstead.

A talented carpenter and laborer, David was admired for his

craftsmanship, and his work reflected the dedication and care he put

into every project. Outside of work, he loved music, motorcycles

and spending time with his friends, and he was always happy to

share those passions with the people closest to him.

David is now reunited with his beloved mother, Brenda, and his

sister, Glenda Scott, who preceded him in death. He is survived by

his father, Lyndol Scott; his beloved son, Christopher Greenway

(Heather); his grandchildren, Nathan and Lucas; his siblings,

Jeannie Arnold (Darryl) of Lexington, Donna LeeAnne Joyner

(Barry) of Luray and Tanya Scott of Huntingdon; and many nieces

and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, October 9, from 10 a.m.

to 1 p.m. at Clarksburg Church of Christ in Clarksburg, Tennessee.

Family and friends are warmly invited to gather and celebrate the

life David lived and the love he shared with those around him.
