Obituary

Robert “Bob” Nathan Everett, 74, of Jackson, TN passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, July
10, 2025 at St. Mary’s Manor. He was born on November 28, 1950 to William Freeman Everett
and Roseay Lee Smith. Bob was a loving stepson, brother, uncle and great uncle.
He attended Mississippi State University for one year and was an active fraternity brother in
Lambda Chi Alpha . He transferred to the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, AL where he
graduated with a degree in History.
Bob’s work career led him to the hospitality and culinary industry where he worked across the
United States in hotels and restaurants. He worked in Wyoming until his retirement. After
retirement, he moved to Jackson, TN to be near family. He loved horses and became a
Champion Equestrian on English horses. He also obtained his black belt in karate. During his
retirement he gained a love for birds and would watch them for hours while sitting on the back
porch and still kept up to date on news events and history around the world, love cats, and
cooking.
He is preceded in death of his parents, William Freeman Everett and Roseay Lee Smith. He is
survived by his stepmom, Mary Everett, Port Gibson, MS, his sister, Carolyn Hicks, Jackson,
TN, his brother, William F. “Bill” Everett (Anne) of Tampa, FL, two nieces, Tina Heath,
Jackson, TN, and Lisa Abercrombie (Trippi) of Auburn, AL, and he was the uncle to Don Heath,
Jackson, TN, Dale Heath ( Hailey) , Jackson, TN, and Trey Everett, Tampa, FL. He was also the
great uncle to Ryker Daniel Heath and Archer James Heath, both of Jackson, TN. Bob also
loved his cat, Kitty
The family would like to thank the staff at St. Mary’s Manor and all of his doctors, and therapists
for their continued help and guidance and to Affordable Funerals and Cremation Services for
their help in the arrangements.
Final burial for his remains will be placed by his mother in Bastrop, LA at a later date.
Bob will be dearly missed and has departed this world, his family will cherish all the memories
and know that we need to live each day to the fullest as we know tomorrow is no guarantee.
May he rest in peace.
